First step:
Unrar, or copy the theme directory to your hard drive. Remember the place where you placed the theme.
Second step:
Login to your server and search the themes directory, usually the directory is here:
wp-content/themes
Use an FTP client or a web based application to upload the theme to the server, so the theme will be here: wp-content/themes/your_theme
Third step:
Login to the Wordpress admin dashboard. Click on the Apperance tab in the left and click on the themes button. Search the theme and click on the activate button (or you can choose the preview option with the preview button).
Fourth step:
If the theme allows it you can set up custom pages. To do that click on the Pages tab, create a new page, and look on the right box. In the Attributes box there is a section called Templates. Choose the custom page (usually mainpage, or portfolio) and publish the page. Do not write in anything into the content section!

Enjoy your new blog!
